Terms and Conditions of Sale

Definitions

The "COMPANY" refers to MARITIME BOOKS.

The "BUYER" refers to the purchaser of goods.




Summary

The company only accepts orders subject to the conditions of sale to the exclusion of any condition of the buyer.




Payment

Not withstanding delivery, the risk of the goods and the property in the goods shall not pass to the buyer until the goods are paid for in full prior to dispatch.




Prices

Prices of goods supplied as of this date are correct but subject to market fluctuation and revision without notice. Any oversea's orders shall be charged to the buyer at current exchange rates. The company has no control or liability over these rates. We only accept payment in UK £'s (pounds) sterling,




VAT

There is no Value Added Tax charged on BOOKS purchased in the UK.




Liability

The companys liability to the buyer shall at no time exceed the price of the goods supplied. The company shall be under no liability for any direct loss and/or expense or any indirect loss and /or expense suffered by the buyer or liability to third parties incurred by the buyer. The company shall be under no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage whether direct or indirect resulting from the supply of goods.




Delivery

The company shall be under no liability whatsoever for any loss whether direct or indirect resulting from the delay in dispatch or delivery of goods. Goods are normally supplied by the company inclusive of UK postage. The company reserves the right to charge the buyer for any specific delivery requirement. For delivery outside of the United Kingdom please see our shipping information. Your credit/debit card will be debitted on despatch of your order. No liability is accepted for any claims for short delivery or damaged goods unless notified to the company in writing within three clear days of delivery.




Returns

Nothing herein shall give the buyer the right to return the goods in part or full to the company. The company reserves the right to accept or not accept the return of goods for any reason whatsoever. Any goods deemed for return by the company shall be returned carriage paid by the buyer except where faulty or damaged. No variation of these terms and conditions shall be binding upon the company unless in writing and signed by the director on behalf of the company.

THIS CONTRACT IS SUBJECT TO THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES.
