Back to Malta?

We are once again offering to take a small number of our customers on an escorted trip back to Malta. We took a group a few years ago which went well and a repeat has been frequently requested.

What’s planned? There are so many airlines that fly, at very acceptable costs, to Malta these days we think it is easier for all concerned if we book the hotel...fix the trips (with plenty of time “at leisure” too)....and let you decide how to get to Malta. We’ll just see you at the hotel! (We’ll advise you who of our group are on your plane so you can share a minibus or taxi - we can fix it for a sizeable group (as a small “extra”) if all are on the same flight.

RyanAir and EasyJet both fly to Malta should you want to book with them and our travel agent (Wickers World Travel on 01637 875255) can also offer a variety of Air Malta flights from 12 different UK airports. One must be near you? (from Glasgow to Norwich to Exeter).There are other airlines too of course. Our European customers will be surprised at the flights to Malta available from countries from Spain to Cyprus too. All the flights from regional UK airports are on a Tuesday so this trip will be from 23 - 30th September which enables us to enjoy the very pleasant Maltese climate at that time of year –and attend the Maltese International Air display over that weekend too.

We have been able to reserve rooms in a superb 5 star hotel - Le Meridien in St Julians Nr Sliema (look them up on the internet to see the superb facilities available) - We have already filled 14 rooms.

What’s on offer?

7 nights Bed and Breakfast at our 5 Star Hotel.

Organised visits to; The Maritime Museum; War Museum; Suez Underground headquarters at Lascaris; Round Malta coach tour including former naval and military sites; 100 ton Gun; Aviation Museum & Craft Village; Noon Day Gun Display; Transport to and from the International Air Display at Luqa (we are unable to find an entry fee at the moment)

We await confirmation of a private visit to the Armed Forces of Malta Base and patrol craft plus a private naval collection of memorabilia....and have a few other ideas I’m working on too!

We have not included any meals apart from breakfast every day as there are so many options from Burger King to Gourmet to suit all your tastes. Having been based at and lived on the islands for many years it will be a pleasure to escort you back to some of my old haunts from years past - and maybe yours too?

The cost? We have been able to secure a great deal at our hotel – The Le Meridien St Julians (a 5 star hotel but at our 3 star prices!) The cost for what is described above will be £495 each based on two people sharing one room. (Single room supplements are an extra £150).

We will want to see details of your travel insurance in due course so please make sure yours is in date – it should cover you for cancellation in case you have to drop out at a later date.
